Combined R-Alpha-Lipoic Acid and Acetyl-L-Carnitine Preventative Effects in Parkinson's disease?

Really interesting new study regarding the acetyl-l-carnitine and r-lipoic acid combination in regards to Parkinson's disease:

"The present study examined the preventative effects of two mitochondrial antioxidant/nutrients, R-alpha-lipoic acid (LA) and acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC)..."

and

"Most notably, we found that when combined, Lipoic Acid and Acetyl-L-Caritine worked at 100 to 1000 fold lower concentrations than they did individually."(emphasis mine)

and

"This study provides important evidence that combining mitochondrial antioxidant/nutrients at optimal doses might be an effective and safe prevention strategy for PD."

Awesome stuff and more scientific based evidence for the wide ranging benefits of r-lipoic acid and acetyl-l-carnitine.
