Carnitine and Lipoic Acid= Reduction In Age-Related DNA Damage?

Lots of good news regarding lipoics and carnitines. This new study on PubMed offers more evidence of the r-lipoic acid / carnitine combination as the closest thing we have to anti-aging in a pill.

Titled: "Mitigation of age-dependent oxidative damage to DNA in rat heart by carnitine and lipoic acid." the study concludes: "Supplementation of carnitine and lipoic acid during aging process decreased the incidence of this DNA damage, therefore suggesting that this feeding regimen inhibits the accumulation of age-associated oxidative DNA damage."

While humans are not rats, this study offers real promise of the efficacy of the lipoic/carnitine combination.

As you would expect, Geronova was well ahead of every other company when they introduced their sustained release, highly bioavailable lipoics: Mito-Gold, R-PLUS and RALA-Gel in 2005. Last year they made available a revolutionary new carnitine/acetyl-l-carnitine product: Carnitine Plus.

Combining a Geronova engineered lipoic product with Carnitine Plus is the closest thing we currently have to true anti-aging at the cellular level.
